Across our four caf\u00e9s, our roastery, our wholesale business, and our online shop, we live coffee in all its facets. We are a young, international team with people from over 20 countries, and we are on a mission to make our brand bigger, better, and a little more fun \u2014 one bloody good cup at a time.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Head Roaster to join our small roastery in the heart of Berlin and take full ownership of what comes out of our Probat. This is a central role: you will be responsible for the creation and production of our coffees, for the smooth running of the roastery, and for leading and developing our roasting team.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">This is a permanent, full-time, on-site position in Berlin, starting as soon as possible.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">KEY RESPONSIBILITIES<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Roasting &amp; Profiling<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Own the entire roasting process on our Probat \u2014 from green coffee selection through roasting, profile development, and quality control.<\/li>\n<li>Develop and refine roast profiles that protect the character and quality of each of our coffees.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor and maintain the roasting machinery and ensure consistent, repeatable results batch after batch.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p1\">Team Leadership<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"p1\">Lead, train, and develop the roasting team in roasting, sensory skills, and quality standards.<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">Provide expertise and support in selecting coffees for our range.<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">Stay active in the coffee community and keep the team up to date with the latest trends and developments.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p1\">Quality Control<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"p1\">Run regular cuppings and quality checks to make sure every coffee meets the highest standards.<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">Work closely with the tasting team to develop flavour profiles and continuously improve quality.<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">Implement quality standards and ensure compliance with all relevant food-safety regulations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p1\">Planning &amp; Sourcing<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"p1\">Work closely with the buying team to forecast green coffee needs and place orders.<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">Work with the sales team to understand customer feedback and keep improving our products.<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">Support the development of new coffees and blends to grow our range.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p1\">ESSENTIAL SKILLS &amp; EXPERIENCE<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"p1\">Minimum 3 years of experience in the specialty coffee industry, ideally as a Production Roaster or Head Roaster.<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">Extensive knowledge of coffee roasting, including roast profiles, machine settings, and quality control.<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">Hands-on experience operating and maintaining drum roasters (Probat experience is a strong plus).<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">Excellent sensory skills for evaluating coffee quality.<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">Knowledge of green coffee selection and sourcing.<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">Proven experience developing and optimising roast profiles.<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">Strong team-player and communication skills, with the ability to lead and work independently.<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">Calm under pressure, with the ability to make quick decisions and solve problems on the fly.<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">A solid understanding of workplace and machine safety.<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">Fluent English is required; German is a plus.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p1\">WHAT WE OFFER<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"p1\">A role with real responsibility in an ambitious, international team.<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">A thorough onboarding.<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">Flat hierarchies with plenty of room for initiative and personal development.<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">A permanent full-time contract and a competitive salary [GEHALTSSPANNE \u2013 bitte eintragen], plus additional perks and benefits.<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">The best coffee subscription in town.<\/li>\n<li class=\"p1\">An Urban Sports Club membership (M).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Salary Range: 45.000-65.000\u20ac p.a.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">HOW TO APPLY<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Sound like you?
