Boxcar is a quality focused coffee roasting company located in beautiful Boulder Colorado. Since 2010 we have been striving to roast and serve the highest quality coffee possible while being as hospitable and welcoming as we possibly can. We have a 5,000 square foot roasting facility that houses our refurbished Probat G45 and L12 roasters. Our customers include some of the best restaurants and cafes in the Front Range as well as our flagship cafe and bakery in downtown boulder.<\/p>\n
As Head Roaster you will be responsible for developing roast profiles, setting production schedules, overseeing packaging and delivery of orders and maintaining organizational and operational strategies for the Roastery space, equipment and vehicles. This position involves daily interaction with wholesale partners, account management, sales and service teams to support order fulfillment, delivery, and billing needs for our wholesale customers and Boxcar cafes.<\/p>\n

\n\u2022 An understanding of Quickbooks, Excel and Google Drive
\n\u2022 Ability to manage and prioritize daily and weekly task
\n\u2022 Flexible and adaptable to change
\n\u2022 Able to lift up to 50 lb regularly and 150 lb with assistance
\n\u2022 Able to stay positive and focused in a fast paced environment
\n\u2022 Valid drivers license<\/p>\n
Essential Functions

\n\u2022 Maintain Roastery equipment, production equipment and delivery van\u2028
\n\u2022 Ordering of green coffee, packaging supplies & retail products\u2028
\n\u2022 Quality control\u2028-Training of new team members\u2028
\n\u2022 Maintain policy and procedures manual for Roastery\u2028
\n\u2022 Responsible for the maintenance of all Roastery equipment and the Boxcar delivery vehicle.\u2028
\n\u2022 Maintain pars and accurate inventory system for wholesale products and consumables\u2028
\n\u2022 Work roasting and production team members to improve production efficiencies while maintaining Boxcar\u2019s quality standards \u2028
\n\u2022 Assist in maintaining accurate and up to date product list on website, production software and Quickbooks \u2022 Responsible for roastery \/ office organization, cleanliness, maintenance strategies \u2028
\n\u2022 Manage packaging staff members schedules and participate in the hiring and review processes\u2028
\n\u2022 Lead weekly production meetings\u2028
