As a Service Technician, your role is crucial for supporting the Joe Coffee Retail and Wholesale Departments. The Service Department is responsible for ensuring coffee offerings are served at the highest quality and equipment is operating with minimal downtime. Familiarity with tools is necessary, but most important is the ability to adapt quickly to stressful situations with tact and provide knowledge to peers and clients in a helpful way. The ability to maintain organization of inventory, communications, and projects is critical to the success of the service department and key internal\/external relationships.<\/p>\n
This position is also intended to develop one\u2019s curiosity and craft over a period of time with increasing skill and responsibility relating to coffee equipment repairs and service. 30, 60, and 90 day benchmarks will be outlined and tested to develop and assess these skills depending on experience and existing competencies as they fit within Joe Coffee Company standards of service and quality.<\/p>\n
Starting hours will be 20+\/week, working up to 40\/week as workload intensity and demands increase.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\u2022 Handle remote and on-site equipment, repairs, preventative maintenance cycles, water sampling\/filtration protocols, etc. for all customer and company equipment.
\n\u2022 Maintain an orderly workspace and accurate parts\/equipment inventory, including procurement of parts and equipment as needed for wholesale clients, new Joe retail locations, etc.
\n\u2022 Communicate best equipment practises and standards to retail teams and wholesale clients.
\n\u2022 Coordinate and develop situational and permanent solutions within the internal wholesale and service department teams.<\/p>\n

\n\u2022 Possession of a valid Driver\u2019s License

\n\u2022 Strong and proven barista skill set (2+ yrs preferred)
\n\u2022 Efficient time management and punctuality
\n\u2022 Reliable, accountable, and professional demeanor with clients
\n\u2022 Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
\n\u2022 Ability to think and work calmly under pressure
\n\u2022 Strong desire to share knowledge and displayed ability to teach others
\n\u2022 Familiarity with tools, and a high desire to always read the instruction manual<\/p>\n
Education:
\n\u2022 Bachelor\u2019s Degree Preferred<\/p>\n
