When we launched La Marzocco Home in November 2014, we launched with one goal: to help people make better espresso at home. Through classes, shows, and events, we have had the opportunity to interact directly with home baristas interested in learning more about espresso and La Marzocco home espresso machines. Since launching, we have seen a large and continually increasing amount of interest in learning the art of espresso. About the job
\nThe La Marzocco Home Education & Sales position will engage and nurture the home barista community across the nation. Through in-person classes in Seattle, online education & content, the creation of community groups, in-person events, and sales demos, this individual will be a catalyst for creating and maintaining a positive sales experience and constant source of educational opportunities for home baristas. The position will be responsible for educating La Marzocco Home customers pre\/post sale and guiding them through machine, equipment, and coffee theory.\u00a0<\/p>\n
This individual will be instrumental in forming relationships with home baristas across the nation and will embody La Marzocco in all their interactions. The Educator will be expected to travel (15% of time) to our major markets, as well as work some weekends.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Responsibilities include
\n\u2022 Expanding and directing the digital La Marzocco Home education program
\n\u2022 Retail Development at the La Marzocco Home Education Lab
\n\u2022 Collecting and nurturing machine in-person\/Seattle sales leads
\n\u2022 Representing La Marzocco Home at events
\n\u2022 Communications for La Marzocco Home inquiries
\n\u2022 Planning and executing coffee events.
\n\u2022 Representing La Marzocco Home at industry events
\n\u2022 Improving conversion % and sales volume
\n\u2022 Creating and building La Marzocco Home Barista \u201ccommunity groups\u201d in major US markets<\/p>\n
Qualifications
\n\u2022 Sales experience \u2013 Preferably in B2B and B2C \u2013 2 years experience
\n\u2022 Customer Service experience \u2013 3 years, preferably in coffee
\n\u2022 Coffee experience \u2013 Barista for a specialty coffee company and knowledge of the specialty coffee market
\n\u2022 Leadership experience: Ability to develop and implement programs without direction.
\n\u2022 Classroom\/Lab Experience – 2 years, preferably coffee education
\n\u2022 Education – College Degree, though relevant experience may substitute.<\/p>\n
