This position assists roasters with all necessary roast preparation activities and work area maintenance. <\/p>\n
Duties and Responsibilities
\n\u2022 Weigh green coffee into buckets as directed by Netsuite and Roasting team.
\n\u2022 Prioritize batches of green coffee for the roasting team in order of importance.
\n\u2022 Assist Roasting team with Gothot cleaning.
\n\u2022 Keep roast area in clean, orderly state throughout the day. This includes sweeping, stacking empty jute bags and pallets, dusting lids, disposing of used bin liners, organizing bin tags.
\n\u2022 Keep empty roasted bins organized and ready for use.
\n\u2022 Assist in daily morning weighing of coffees.
\n\u2022 Set up daily cuppings and participate if time permits.
\n\u2022 Update computer system ensuring accurate records for Quality Control and inventory management.
\n\u2022 Maintain cleanliness of green storage area within the roasting works.
\n\u2022 Other duties as assigned.
\n\u2022 Education and\/or Experience
\n\u2022 High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) desired
\n\u2022 A background in the coffee industry is preferred.<\/p>\n
